Tish Smith was born in Bermuda, later moving to the scenic landscapes of
Moncton, New Brunswick. Äs a young child she was motivated to sketch,
which later blossomed into an artistic career.
She graduated in 1988 from the Graphic
Design programme at Algonquin College in Ottawa followed
by working in the Art department of a Design firm, creating logos and doing
graphics.
Tish then started painting commissioned portraits
in various mediums as well as sets for church dramas, faux finishes and
murals in commercial and residential work which have helped to expand her
creative career
She was represented by Koyman's Gallery in Ottawa where 25 of
her paintings were sold.
One of her paintings entitled "Market flowers" was
published in the the International Artists publication “One hundred
ways to paints flowers and gardens"

She has taken courses
with Douglas Purdon in Ottawa and Greg Hindle in Toronto.
Her love of nature is beautifully expressed on canvas as landscapes
gardens, flowers, animals and birds.
